About & Contact

Greetings!  Welcome to my new blog.  My name is Jamie, some simply call me "Jam." I love sewing and designing, but I have always found it hard to move pass the basics.  I am starting this blog in hopes of helping myself and others of all levels who aspire to advance their knowledge in this wonderful art of needle and thread.

This past year I have been expanding my collection of sewing books including: fashion design, couture sewing, embroidery, dressmaking, tailoring, alterations, etc...  Even though I read through them, the information just does not stick.  The only techniques that I remember are the ones I have actually have done.  So I decided to create a "Sewing Notebook."  Everything I want to learn, I will create projects that are hands on that will help me remember.  Then, I can place it in my "notebook" (actually, a binder) to refer back to.  I plan on making print outs for anyone who wants to follow along and make their own sewing notebook.
